opensecrets.org is an interesting website - you can search by ZIP code to see how much money people are donating to political causes...i suppose this is a way to find out the political leanings of various businesses or personalities around town...
for instance:
Indiana Pacers Coach Rick Carlisle made two donations of $1,000 each to the campaign of John Edwards...
The president of Noble Roman's Pizza made a $1,000 donation to the National Republican Congressional Committee...
Marla Stevens from LGBT Fairness Indiana made a $2,000 donation to Dennis Kucinich's campaign last July...
Greg Dixon (no middle initial there, so i dunno if it's the father or son) from the Indianapolis Baptist Temple gave $250 to the Libertarian National Committee...
Former Governor Bob Orr gave Dick Lugar $1,000 and Dubya $2,000...
Jim Irsay (owner of the Indianapolis Colts) has lots of cash to dole out: $1,000 to Dan Burton, $2,000 to Dick Lugar, $500 to Julia Carson, $2,000 to John Edwards, $1,000 to Evan Bayh, another $1,000 to Evan Bayh, and $2,000 to George W.
