today was the Mutual Friends Flower Power Cookout - great weather for it too! sunny and 70 degrees - a couple hundred queers invading Eagle Creek Park, having hamburgers and hot dogs and playing tug o' war and just chillin. i wish Indy Pride could be more like this, where it's not all about buying and selling stuff (tho there was a little of that goin on today) and more of a place to take the kids - today's picnic had dozens of kids - and doggies too! some of the stuff ya see at the so-called pride celebrations is definitely not for the kids to see. and i understand there's a time and place for that, i just wish we could have more family oriented stuff out there - in both senses of the word family.

to maximize my hooky-playing from work (okay, it wasn't really hooky, since i had previously arranged to be off work and took paid time off for it) i also went to see Chicago this evening with Maggie - pretty good movie...long in parts, but i liked it MUCH better than Moulin Rouge - still don't understand why everybody liked that one soooo much...

now i can't get Catherine Zeta-Jones outta my head - she keeps singing "and all that jazz" over and over - not the whole "all that jazz" song, just those 4 words...."and all that jazz"..."and all that jazz"..."and all that jazz"..."and all that jazz"...

and queen latifah just needs to come out once and for all and be my love slave - hubba hubba! that woman can eat crackers in my bed any time!
