arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

ya know, it's all my fucking fault - i cursed myself. i just HAD to be a smart ass...when i paid off my car, i said that NOW would be the time for it to fall apart. and wouldn't ya know it, i blew up the fucking engine tonight on my drive home from work! argh! so, i'm getting onto 465 from 69 and i hear a loud noise and feel a shaking...then a big *POP!* and it sounds like something falls off of the car. i see smoke coming out from under the hood. when i pull over, i pop the hood and see FLAMES - yup, my car's on fire! so i get a can of root beer out of my car, the only liquid i had, and put the flames out. a guy pulled over to see if he could help - turns out he's a mechanic at Hare Chevrolet - and he tells me i've blown a rod. i know i was due for an oil change, i was gonna get that done this weekend - guess i don't have to worry about that now - arrrrrgh! paid the fucker off april 11, the thing blows up less than a month later! the aaa guy doesn't think it was a blown rod though, he said it's unlikely that it'd catch fire in that instance, but who the fuck knows...both the guys sounded like they knew what they were talking about. *shrug*

so now, what do i do?

don't think i wanna drop one or two grand in it with a new engine - but i could probably get a couple grand out of it for a trade-in. kelley blue book says that the private party value of it in fair condition is $2,150 - says that the Trade-In value is $1,090 - with all the "push...pull...drag it in" for $2,000 trade ins i see in the wheels & deals and such, i think that's a definite thing to consider.

another thought is donating it to charity and writing it off on my taxes - would that be a better idea? *shrug* fuck if i know...

argh, how fucking annoying! *whine complain piss moan grumble*
